For over four decades, KCS has provided legal assistance and consultation through free legal clinics and individualized assistance.  

Naturalization Application Assistance

KCS helps clients complete and submit their Application for Naturalization forms.  

Green Card Application Assistance

A green card, known officially as a permanent resident card, is an identity document which shows that a person has permanent residency in the United States. Green card holders are formally known as lawful permanent residents. KCS assists clients with the green card application process. 

Citizenship Workshop

Naturalization is an important milestone in the path toward citizenship. KCS assists clients seeking to become a US Citizen in all stages of the process, including preparing for the exam.  

Public Charge

A Public Charge is neither a US Permanent Resident nor US Citizen but may require some assistance. Our staff helps those with a Public Charge status find services and programs available to them in times of need.  

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Assistance

DACA is a federal immigration program that helps undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as young people. DACA provides eligible undocumented immigrants with temporary protection from deportation and access to work authorization. KCS helps those seeking DACA Status or with DACA Status navigate the process and legalities of the status benefits.  

Legal Pro Bono Clinic

KCS’ pro bono legal clinics assist clients with legal issues under the direct supervision of an attorney.  

Legal Referrals

In collaboration with OCKABA (Orange County Korean American Bar Association), LASOC (Legal Aid for Southern California) and other pro bono immigration attorneys, KCS provides free professional legal services to low-income community members.

Tax Assistance

KCS offers tax assistance, including tax filing preparation and subsequent filing.
