Behavioral Health FAQs

Common questions about behavioral health care

Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Your therapeutic sessions are protected by federal and state privacy laws. There are limited exceptions, such as when there is imminent danger to yourself or others, that our staff will explain at your first visit.
Do I need a referral?

Yes. Behavioral health care at KCS begins with a referral from one of our primary care or substance use disorder treatment providers. Your provider can submit the referral for you, and our team will complete a brief screening to match you with the right level of care.

If you are not yet a KCS patient, call us at 714-503-6650, and we will help you get started.
